DA Youth Leader Mphithi to encourage the youth of KZN to register for Change in 2019

Tomorrow, Friday 31 August 2018, the Democratic Alliance Youth Leader, Luyolo Mphithi, accompanied by DA KZN Youth Chairperson, Fikani Khubisa, DA Youth Deputy Chairperson, Henning De Wet, uThungulu DA Constituency Chairperson, Sazi Msane, and members of the Provincial Youth Executive will lead young people to register to vote at a local Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) Office at the City of uMhlathuze’s Civic Centre.

According to the IEC, KwaZulu-Natal not only has the highest number of incomplete addresses on the Electoral Commission of South Africa voters’ roll, but there is also a significant number of potential and new voters who remain completely unregistered. There are over 1 million incomplete addresses for the 5.3 million registered voters in the province.

DA Youth Leader Mphithi will encourage young people to have a voice in this democracy and the upcoming elections. It is only through voting that residents will have a say and choose a government that will put the poor and unemployed youth first.

It’s of tantamount importance for us to encourage all South Africans to take full advantage of making use of this life-changing opportunity. The 2019 General Elections is an important one, as it will allow residents to vote for change, change that creates access to real and long-lasting jobs. Change that the DA will build one South Africa for all.

Date: 31 August 2018
Time: 12:00
